Location:

AL-AMAL Hospital, which is constructed according to the latest modern designs of the most famous international cancer hospitals and equipped with latest modernized therapeutic and diagnostic equipments, is situated within AL-RUMAILLAH hospital, with a surface area of about 14,000 m2. The compound comprises two stories as follows:

The First Floor:

It comprises reception offices, patient’s admitting, medical records, outpatient, pharmacy, radio-diagnosis section and radiotherapy centre.

The Second Floor:

It comprises physicians’ offices, administration, head of nurses, conference and lectures rooms, laboratory, nuclear therapy unit, day care unit (chemotherapy) with 14 beds, inpatient sections with 50 beds and bone marrow transplantation with 5 beds.

The Team of Work:

The Medical Director and the in-charge Administrative Director manage the hospital in close cooperation with the German University of Heidelberg, which is regarded as the most famous and inveterate Western University in the field of the treatment of cancer and cancer researches. The hospital medical staff comprises highly competent and experienced physicians in the treatment of the various types of cancer in addition to prominent experts in hematology, either by chemotherapy or by radiotherapy. An integrated team of nurses, physics experts and X-ray technicians of high international qualifications, however, support this team. The importance of such highly competent technical team relies in operating, calibrating and repairing radio systems, in case of need.

Moreover, a considerable number of physicians, nurses and technicians, in the various sections, provide the necessary support services for the treatment of cancer patients. The most important of these sections are: the Laboratory, Diagnostic Radio Section and Anesthesia Section.

    The total number of employees working in this hospital is estimated at 361 employees.
