The inauguration of Al Amal Hospital represents a major achievement of the ambitious strategy adopted by Hamad Medical Corporation, configured by providing comprehensive healthcare for all those living on the soil of Qatar, nationals and expatriates as well, with the best diagnostic and therapeutic services, through the use of the latest medical techniques and applications, aiming at achieving the optimum national objective, i.e. upgrading our healthcare services to reach standards provided by developed countries to citizens thereof.

As a fruit of the limitless support by H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, many ambitious projects emerged into light. Such projects are schematized to establish an integrated range of specialized hospitals designed to attract the best international expertise in future and rally qualified Qatari nationals of various medical specializations.

Al-Amal Hospital is the first step in the execution of these integrated projects. It is designed for treatment of cancer and malignant tumors and given priority due to the critical nature of cancer and the necessity for treating the cancer patient at home country, amongst is relatives, as the positive social atmosphere and psychological support are considered indispensable for cancer patients.

The design and running plans of this hospital were laid down keeping in mind all these considerations, besides the inevitability to acquire the latest techniques adopted by hospitals of Heidelberg University, Germany, which are reputed amongst the best European organizations in the field of cancer treatment.

Al-Amal Hospital is a step forward towards the materialization of HMC medical strategy and a glitter of hope for all patients anticipating better healthcare and improved treatment.

We pray for Almighty Allah to make the inauguration of this hospital an auspicious inception for further projects planned by Hamad Medical Corporation and to guide our beloved leader, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, HH the Heir Apparent and HH the Premier to all deeds leading to prosperity of this country and welfare of people thereof.
