It is a great pleasure for all of us to celebrate the inauguration of Al-Amal Oncology Hospital, an advanced facility to be added to the set of medical establishments, which Qatar feels proud of. This day will be considered a milestone in the history of healthcare boom in our country inasmuch as this project represents the inception of a wide range of advanced medical facilities the execution of which is already in progress and planned to be inaugurated in the near future.

Al-Amal Hospital is considered an outstanding achievement, planned and established according to the latest techniques of architectural designs. Highly qualified European experts in the field of tumor diagnosis and therapy have been contracted with to participate in running this hospital and provide it with the most advanced medical techniques and latest expertise.

This hospital, however, is designed to meet all needs of various cancer patients, including diagnosis, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgical treatment and socio-psychological care, at the best possible standards in the Gulf Region.

Furthermore, Heidelberg University Hospital, in Germany, which is reputed amongst the best European oncology organizations has been contracted with to lay out running plans and schedule the clinical and technical applications necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of various types of cancer. The contract includes the provisioning of highly qualified medical experts of various specializations in cancer treatment from Heidelberg University and other similar European organizations, as well as training the local medical staff on the latest techniques of diagnosis and treatment and advanced methods of operating medical equipment. This hospital gives cancer patients, for the first time, an access to radiotherapy inside Qatar.

In this occasion, I would like to praise the limitless support extended by HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, HH the Heir Apparent and our wise government, which resulted in the spectacular success of this project,

We pray to the Almighty Allah to give us enough zeal and determination to faithfully serve our beloved country and all those living on its soil, nationals and expatriates as well, and may Allah grant good health to all.
