Welcome to Qatar

Small in size, Qatar is enormous in value. It has achieved within decades what other courtiers take centuries to accomplish. Its citizens embrace the future with unswerving optimism and enviable potential. Hospitable, generous, and kind, Qataris make guests feel at home. Qatar is an ideal family location and very safe place to live and work.
Standards of living are high as the infrastructure develops.

The country’s commercial and administrative center, the capital city of Doha hosts Qatar’s airport, seaport, hotels and sports facilities. Doha is built around a superb bay on which a 7km long Corniche lined with gardens has been built. Palm tree island beckons from the center of the bay. Doha’s cosmopolitan spirit strikes a perfect balance with its rich cultural and religious heritage.

Qatar is a major regional leisure and sports destination that annually holds world championships in sports including golf, table-tennis, tennis, squash, and hors racing. Its 560km coastline offers plenty of sparkling blue sandy beaches perfect for all types of water sports, particularly in the town of Dukhan and Al Khor. Khor Al Udeid in southeast of Qatar offers a roller coaster ride across massive sand dunes adjacent to lakeside beach resort and camping facilities.

Qatar is a major regional business and investment center. Once dependent on pearl diving, Qatar’s economy ever since the discovery of its huge gas and oil fields, has become a world-leading net energy exporter.

For just QR55, the immigration Department can now offer a 14-day business or tourist visa on arrival at Doha International Airport for citizens of the following 33 counties:
USA, UK, France, Italy , Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andora, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Citizens of all other countries should contact their nearest Qatar Embassy.
