Disaster Management Program (MIMMS)


The Hamad International Training Center provides disaster principles drawn from internationally recognized disaster organizations like the World Health Organization and Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS). The course standardises disaster response for the various medical and emergency groups. The course will be held over 3 days, incorporating all aspects of assessment, triage and command at the scene of a major medical incident. The theoretical parts are completed by tabletop exercises and live out door practical simulated scenes, all of which consolidate the candidates knowledge of proper communication and management skills. This course is given in both Arabic and English.

ADAMS Course

Hospital Advanced Disaster Administration and Management Support Course.

This two day course covers all aspects of disaster management inside the hospital starting from the scene of the accident. The aim of this course is to train the medical and the par medical staff on the changes needed to be done in case of disaster affect the hospital environment. The information in this course are based on disaster management principle drown from internationally recognize disaster organization like the world health organization (WHO) Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS) and other international academic and research centres.

The contains of this course incorporate all aspects of disaster management principles, preparedness, planning and prevention.
It also includes the basic of commanding the scene of major medical incident.

The theoretical part is complemented by tabletop exercises and life out doors practical simulated scenes all of which consolidate the candidate knowledge of proper communication and management skills.

A medical background is preferred for the candidates but not compulsory.
