GENERAL SURGERY

General Surgery offers wide ranging services including laparoscopic surgery and trauma surgery.

Laparoscopic surgery, which was introduced in February 1993, started with laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It was gradually extended to include laparoscopic hernia repair, appendectomy, exploration of common bile duct, rectopexie, ovonectomy and diagnostic laparoscopic procedures.

To accommodate the rise in outpatient visits, General Surgery increased its morning clinics to five and its afternoon clinics to four.
