New Approach towards a Brighter Future

Since its establishment 25 years ago, the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has committed itself to secure high quality therapeutic and healthcare services for nationals and expatriates resident in Qatar, alike. The Corporation, in its tireless strive to achieve this target, has since then, advanced in great strides passing over significant enhancement phases during which huge administrative and medical experiences and know-how as well as enormous efforts of its cadres have massed through the years whereas highly qualified and ambitious national generations, benefitting from the expertise inherited from the preceding generations, have successively assumed the leadership of this inveterate Corporation. The fruitful and successful institutional work is evidently founded on the succession of expertise from one generation to anther as well as the flexible shifting from a higher administrative leadership to a new successive leadership, maintaining, in the meantime, the basic principles established for the re­ali­zation of the objectives, vision and mission which, however, do not ham­per or abrogate the diligence of the new leadership to invent new long-term strategies and plans and set up the appropriate techniques for their implementation, maintaining, in the meantime, the Corporations identity and its accumulated successes. Undoubtedly, the adoption of a new approach based on the accumulated experiences and achievements; will draw up a successful route to future, which calls for a world-class medical corporation, capable of plunging into competition with rival counterparts in the region and able to attract the best human cadres for employment in medical, paramedical, nursing, and technical areas, in addition to support services. Thus, we can emphasize that the new features of HMC future is prom­ising further successful achievements, particularly after the cor­po­ration has attained the international accredi­tation, for all its five hospitals, from the globally renowned Joint Commission International (JCI), being the first public medical organization in the Middle East to achieve this laurel. Currently, the buildings of the giant Hamad Medical City is un­der­going a refashioning process to fit for medical use, where the new Heart Centre, to be operational within a few months, will constitute the first step in a new era of stunning boom in various health care services, with major expansion projects in different facilities; including hospitals, health centers and specialized clinics. The future is full with dazzling achievements, while the march of dedication and commitment is still going on.
