Blood Donor Unit, of Hamad Medical Corporation is currently
launching a far-reaching blood donation campaign during this
Holy Month of Ramadan. The drive aims at boosting joint
colla-boration and strengthening solidarity ties between
various community sectors, public and private entities and civil
society organizations, with the objective of blood stock
replenishment through blood donation by local community.

The campaign kicks off on Monday, September 10, 2007, at HMC’s
Ibn Sina Auditorium, through a blood donation drive among HMC
staff, with the participation of a number of higher officials,
administrators, doctors, and other employees from various HMC
hospitals and corporate departments.
Mrs. Sadiqa Al Mahmoudi, Super-visor of Blood Donor Unit,
explained that the current campaign launched by HMC constitute a
complementary drive for the summer campaign successfully
launched since last May.
“We managed, thanks God, to secure a sufficient blood stock
reserve during summer in spite of the departure of a
considerable number of natio-nals and expatriates in their
summer vacations” said Mrs. Al Mahmoudi explained that: “
