From the Editor-in-Chief
It is my
pleasure to put before you this second
issue of the MEJEM for 2006.
Despite the global unrest especially
accentuated in certain parts of the
Middle East, determined researchers have
patiently produced some excellent
studies worth-reading by a wide audience
of readers, especially those in the
field of emergency medicine.
In this issue you will find two excellent review articles. One of them; "Luxation
Dental Injuries: Review of Treatment
Guidelines and Endodontic
Considerations", is a paper that we hope
will motivate more of our colleagues in
the field of Dentistry to contribute
their manuscripts for future
publication.
Also included is a brief communication about 'The Utilization of the
Global Poisoning System in Managing
Disasters within the Middle East
Region". It provides further
understanding in the quick and efficient
management of disasters and relevant
cases to that effect.
As you read through, 2 case reports and 5 significant original studies are
also included that are beyond doubt
instructive and commendable.
I hope you find this issue to be yet another relevant contributory
material to Emergency Medicine from
Qatar to the world. I would like to take
this opportunity to invite you to put
forward your manuscripts and share in
the propagation and enhancement of
Emergency Medicine practice. I would
also like to congratulate the Muslim
world on the occasion of the Eid Al Fitr
after the holy month of fasting.
Looking forward to receive any feedback you may have.
