GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

Abstract Size
The abstract size is limited to 250 words in the abstract body, table and graphics.

Special characters
To avoid character corruption, any special characters should be entered using either Times New Roman or Symbol font.

Structure
Abstracts should comprise the following elements, with each element beginning a new paragraph :

        Title  
        Authors
        Address
        Abstract text  
        References heading (optional)  
        References text (optional)     

The abstract number, title, authors and address should each appear as a single paragraph; the abstract text should also be one paragraph, unless structured with subheadings, in which case each section should be a separate paragraph.

Tables can be included with abstracts, but the abstracts themselves must be in text, not table format.

Title
The abstract title should be in initial capital/lower case, not all capitals.

Authors' names
        Authors' names should be supplied in the surname-last format   
        If there are initials, full points or spaces should be inserted between  them.  
        Authors' institutional affiliations should be indicated with superscript symbols or numbers.   
        The corresponding author should be indicated by using either a symbol following the name, or formatting such as italics, underline or bold. Do not use all caps to identify the corresponding author.  
        The authors' names should be in initial capital/lower case, not all capitals.  

Reference list
        References can be supplied as either in-text or listed references.     
        If there is a reference list, it should be preceded by a 'References' heading. 
        References in the reference list should be numbered, and each reference should start a new paragraph.  
        All references in the reference list should be cited in the text of the abstract.      
        Reference citations of numbered references should be in Vancouver style (superscript or parenthesised numbers) 

Figures

All figures should be cited in the text of the abstract.

Tables
All tables should be cited in the text of the abstract
